USC AD Pat Haden Is Performing In A Musical This Week

College is a place for experimentation...

Pat Haden has raised many eyebrows around USC over the past week or so, and not just because of the bold hire he made for the basketball team.

In an attempt to set an example for his student-athletes on branching out and trying new things in college, Haden has entered the world of theatre. This week, he will perform in the USC School of Theatre's production of the musical, The Most Happy Fella. It's a romance set in the 1920s about a San Francisco waitress named Rosabella and her growing relationship with an older Italian farmer named Tony. Haden plays a postman who delivers the letters between the two main characters.

Truthfully, his singing is bad enough to make the NCAA create a new secondary violation preventing ADs from doing something like this ever again, but you don't need to tell him that.

"When I first started out three months ago rehearsing this thing, I was pitiful. Now I'm just bad," he said.
