USC CB Isaiah Langley Suspended For Season-Opener Vs. Alabama
USC has suspended cornerback Isaiah Langley for the 2016 season-opener against USC as punishment for being arrested in May, according to the LA Times.
Langley, who appeared in 11 games last season as a true freshman, was arrested on May 6 on suspicion of trespassing, intoxication and resisting arrest. He had been attending a frat party that evening.
From The Times:
Langley does not currently face charges, according to Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office. Mateljan said the city attorney’s office is in the process of placing Langley in the Neighborhood Justice Program, a diversion program for first-time, nonviolent offenders to avoid criminal records.
Langley recorded 12 tackles and a pass breakup last season and was expected to be a key member of the Trojans' cornerback rotation this season, alongside Iman Marshall, Jonathan Lockett and two-way star Adoree Jackson.
