Pollard is the son of former Trojan Marvin Pollard, a cornerback at USC from 1988-1991. Reign of Troy has more on the commitment.

An aggressive defender, Pollard stands 6-foot-1, 180 pounds and could star as either a safety or cornerback. The 247Sports composite ranks him as the No. 10 safety and the No. 34 player in California.

Pollard is the next member of the Serra to USC pipeline, following in the footsteps of Rasheem Green, John Houston, Adoree’ Jackson, Marqise Lee and Robert Woods. His legacy with his father also makes him the second legacy commitment pledged to the Trojans, along with Tee Martin’s son Amari Rodgers, a 2017 commitment.

USC beat out Arizona State, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin, and others to secure the legacy commitment.
