USC Lands Commitment From 3-Star WR Derrick Smith

Update:In a quick turn of events, it appears Smith is not a USC commit, according to 247 Sports' Ryan Bartow.

Earlier: USC just landed the fourth member,and first wide receiver, of its 2017 recruiting class.

Composite three-star Derrick Smith, out of Jacksonville (FL), announced his decision to join the Trojans via Twitter Wednesday evening.

At 6-foot-2, 186-pounds, Smith offers size and athleticism to an already talented group of skill players. 

There's still a lot of time between now and 2017 National Signing Day, so it will be interesting to see how his recruitment plays out.
