USC Reinstates Defensive Back Josh Shaw After 10-Game Suspension

Way back in August, USC captain Josh Shaw was suspended for lying to his coaches about how he injured both of his ankles. Shaw told the Trojans' staff that he suffered the injury while he was trying to save his nephew from drowning at a family event. However, it was revealed that Shaw suffered the injury while he was running away from the police after an incident involving his girlfriend.

Today, USC athletic director Pat Haden and head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that Shaw has been reinstated after missing the first 10 games of the Trojans' season. He will be eligible to play immediately.

We'll see if Shaw plays this Saturday when USC travels to Pasadena to take on UCLA. The game will kick off at 8:00 P.M. EST on ABC.
