USC has a monumental task ahead of it when it opens the 2016 season against Alabama. This is no secret, the Crimson Tide are defending national champions for a reason. Trojans offensive coordinator Tee Martin told WNSP 105.5 FM's "The Opening Kickoff" that he's already game planning for the Tide, and one player in particular: linebacker Tim Williams. From Saturday Down South:
One player obviously stood out to Martin, who will be tasked with finding a way for the Trojans to move the ball on what is expected to be one of the best defenses in the nation, and that’s senior LB Tim Williams.
Martin conceded that the Pac-12 doesn’t breed players like him.
“He’s phenomenal,” Martin said. “Obviously, you have to have a plan for him. In our league, there are guys like that, but not exactly like him. He’s pretty special. It’s a great opportunity for our guys in the first game.”
Williams is an incredibly productive pass rusher, with 10.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss last season. Williams projects to be an even more well-rounded player this season as well.
