Utah Went For A 2-Point Conversion To Beat USC, Got Stopped Short

Utah came up just short against No. 13 USC on Saturday night.

This weekend, we saw No. 2 Clemson, No. 8 Washington State and No. 10 Auburn go down. We were one play away from adding No. 13 USC to that list.

USC survived Utah on Saturday night, erasing a 14-point lead in the second half to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive. But it didn't come without drama.

Utah scored what seemed to be the game-tying touchdown on a 1-yard run by Troy Williams in the final minute. But Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham chose to go for a 2-point conversion and the win on the road - a decision that was lauded.

Williams, after scrambling, came up short in his pursuit of the end zone, however. Check it out:

USC is now 5-1 with its lone loss coming to Washington State a few weeks back.
