Video: Former USC Star Matt Leinart Turned Down The Chance To Be "The Bachelor" Twice

ABC's hit reality show The Bachelor wrapped up its 20th season this week. While that isn't a normal subject for a sports blog, the show does have some football roots. In 2004, former Florida quarterback Jesse Palmer starred on the show as the titular "Bachelor." He wasn't the only big time former college QB that the show has targeted. Former USC star and Heisman winner Matt Leinart says that he has been asked to star on the show twice.

Leinart joined Clay Travis on "Outkick The Show" this afternoon, and says that he was approached to star in the show six or seven years ago, and then again when he was spotted by Bachelor scouts on Manhattan Beach last year, though he is unsure if they knew who he was.

Leinart is apparently a fan of the show, but sorry potential contestants, it doesn't sound like he'll be handing out roses any time soon.
