Colin Cowherd does not think Washington was ranked unfairly in the first CFB playoff rankings.
The undefeated Huskies checked in at No. 5 in the initial rankings, released last night. Texas A&M (7-1) beat them out for the fourth and final playoff spot, while 7-1 Ohio State was behind UDub at No. 6.
Cowherd said on his show today that the committee got it right keeping Washington out. In this video, he defends A&M being put ahead of them despite having a loss, based off strength of schedule and strength of record.
Cowherd also says he would have put Ohio State at No. 4, even though he is fine with the Aggies being there. Then he compares Washington to viral presidential debate audience member Ken Bone.
Regardless what Cowherd's opinion is, there's a good chance all of this will play out on the field in the next few weeks, and the committee will have an easier time with the final rankings in December.
