There were plenty of highlights in last night’s college basketball game between Washington and Arizona. But it looks like the real highlight of the game came courtesy of ESPN broadcaster Bill Walton.
When Walton and his broadcast partner Dave Pasch received cupcakes with lit candles, Pasch dared Walton to eat the cupcake with the candle still burning.
Before Pasch had a chance to tell Walton he was kidding, the basketball legend bit right into the cupcake, stuffing his face and smearing the cream over his mouth in the process.
Pasch face-palmed and burst out laughing at the ridiculous sight.

The cupcake stunt adds to a growing list of weird and interesting stunts that Walton has pulled just this season alone.
During various broadcasts this season he has brought in Hawaiian flowers and identified some of the rare flower breeds, discussed whale breeding, played around with cats and dogs before a Huskies-Wildcats game, and taken a ride on a swan boat.
Walton is closing in on 30 years since making his debut as a broadcaster, but it’s looking like this year is proving to be one of his most entertaining campaigns as ever – even if it has little to do with the games themselves.
