Alabama football just picked up a major legacy commitment.

Four-star quarterback Paul Tyson announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide moments ago. Tyson is a great-grandson of legendary Alabama coach Bear Bryant.

Alabama offered Tyson back in December and he visited campus last month. Of course, the Crimson Tide is in his blood, which had to be a major reason why he chose 'Bama over Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee and others.

"I felt the same calling that my Great Grandfather had when he was asked to come home," Tyson tweeted. "Alabama is home and that's where I want to spend my college career."

Here is Tyson's full announcement.

Tyson, who plays for Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville, is the No. 7 Pro-Style quarterback and No. 12 overall quarterback in the 2019 class.

He is the second player to commit to Alabama today. Four-star defensive tackle Rashad Cheney made the call earlier this afternoon.

Here's a look at Alabama's current recruiting class, which is ranked in the top-10 nationally.
