5-Star LB Signee Mack Wilson Will Wear No. 3 At Alabama To Honor Late Friend

Montgomery (Ala.) Carver five-star linebacker Mack Wilson is signed, sealed and delivered to join Alabama's program for the 2016 season. Wilson wore No. 3 during his high school career, and he will keep that number in Tuscaloosa again next season. This time, however, there will be some added meaning to wearing that digit.

Wilson's close friend Rod Scott passed away in a tragic car accident earlier this month. Scott also rocked No. 3, and Wilson wants to honor his memory by keeping that number.

Wilson tweeted this afternoon that he had spoken with Nick Saban and confirmed that he'll be able to don the No. 3 next fall.

This is an awesome gesture on Wilson's part. Surely, Scott's family and friends will appreciate the gesture as well.
