Most of the time, it's a really bad idea for fans to text college football recruits. But five-star wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers, who decommitted from Auburn earlier this month, seems to be impressed with one young fan - an Alabama supporter - who reached out to him this week. Craig-Myers posted a set of texts he received from a 17-year-old Crimson Tide fan from Atlanta, Georgia. He even went as far as to say "this is what I play the game of football for."
Will this help the Tide land Craig-Myers' services? Maybe. But either way, let's hope this doesn't encourage more fans to obtain the cell phone numbers of high school athletes.
