The college football transfer market has become flush with talent over the past few days – specifically at the quarterback position. Arguably the top quarterback in the transfer portal is Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts – who officially put his name in the portal earlier this week.
Now, Hurts placing his name in the portal doesn’t guarantee he’s transferring from the program, but it is likely. This has been the expected move since Tua Tagovailoa took over as the starting quarterback.
Earlier this week, he followed one head coach on Twitter: Miami’s Manny Diaz.
Now, a top program has followed him. Washington State football’s official Twitter account followed Hurts on Thursday night.

Mike Leach and company “stole” Gardner Minshew from Alabama before the 2018 college football season and he was a Heisman Trophy finalist. Hurts doesn’t exactly fit the mold of an air raid quarterback, but Leach tends to play to the strengths of his quarterbacks.
