AJ McCarron Takes To Twitter To Defend Himself After Reality Show News

Wednesday morning, it was reported by Auburn's student newspaper The Plainsman that former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron and his fiance, Katherine Webb, would be doing a reality show focused on their engagement and their wedding. In the few hours since, McCarron has been criticized by both fans and NFL personnel, who believe that the future professional signal-caller should be focusing his efforts elsewhere ahead of the 2014 season. Well, McCarron took to Twitter this afternoon to clarify that the show is for Webb, not him.

Considering that there is currently no network in place to air the show, it's unlikely that the series' structure has been decided. That being said, if the show is focused on their engagement and their wedding will be televised, it's hard to see McCarron not participating. It looks like he's trying to distance himself from it - already.
