If Alabama's new quarterback commit, Mac Jones, has a career similar to that of A.J. McCarron, Crimson Tide fans would be pretty thrilled.
McCarron, after all, led Alabama to two national championships as a starter and was a first-team All-American in his final season in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
There appear to be some similarities between the national title winner and Jones, too.
Jones, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound pro-style QB in the 2017 class out of Florida, tweeted out this video today.
Jones is ranked the No. 14 pro-style QB and No. 282 player in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
Alabama's 2017 class is ranked the No. 2 class in the country.
