Alabama Covered The 36.5-Point Spread Against Tennessee

Total domination in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama was a 36.5-point favorite in today's game against Tennessee. The Crimson Tide were expected to roll, but that is a lot of points.

Yet, Alabama covered, winning 45-7. Not only did they cover, but they did so with backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa playing the last quarter-plus of action.

Tagovailoa produced two touchdowns, one rushing and one a 60-yard toss to Henry Ruggs, who now has five touchdowns in five receptions.

Here is the touchdown to Ruggs, which covered the monumental spread.

The final score isn't the only way to describe this massacre. Alabama out-gained the Vols 608-104 and finished with 35 first downs to Tennessee's 7.

Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano was 9-for-16 for 44 yards and an interception. In fact, Tennessee's only highlight was a 95-yard pick-6 which finished with a UT player giving the double-barreled middle finger salute to the Alabama crowd.

Yeah, it was that type of day.
