Year in and year out, Alabama showcases a formidable defense and enterprising special teams units.
This year is certainly no different. In fact this statistic shared this morning about the Alabama defense and special teams is mind-blowing.
The Crimson Tide Instagram cites a stat from ESPN which indicates that Alabama has scored as many defensive and special teams touchdowns (nine) as Stanford has offensively and South Carolina has in total.
That's stunning to see, but not as surprising as you might think considering how good 'Bama typically is.
This season, safety Eddie Jackson has already scored twice, once on a punt return and once on an interception. Last week against Arkansas, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick picked off three passes, returning one for a 100-yard touchdown. Overall, eight Crimson Tide players have scored touchdowns on defense or in the return game.
Just business as usual for Nick Saban and company.
