Alabama Dominates Vanderbilt And Wins 59-0, Moves To 4-0

Alabama is in national championship form.

After upsetting Kansas State last week to start the season 3-0, many expected the Vanderbilt Commodores to come out fighting at home versus the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide.

Instead, they got steamrolled, 59-0, and even the score doesn't do justice to just how ugly of a game it was.

Alabama totaled a staggering 677 yards of total offense (with 496 of those yards coming on the ground!), compared to Vanderbilt's 78. Alabama recorded 38 first downs; Vanderbilt had 3. Alabama actually scored more touchdowns (8) than Vanderbilt completed passes (7). The longest play of the day for the Commodores was 10 yards. Like I said, pretty ugly.

The star of the game was Damien Harris, who rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on just 12 carries, including a 61-yard scamper in the first quarter:

Five other players recorded 45 or more yards on the ground. Backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was also superb and efficient, going 8-of-10 for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Oh, and he also did this:

Nick Saban, for maybe the third or fourth time in his entire life actually smiled, because nothing makes him happier than humiliating his opponent:

Alabama moves to 4-0 on the season, and the Crimson Tide takes on Ole Miss next Saturday.
