Alabama freshman standout Braxton Key has made his NBA Draft decision.
This afternoon, Alabama freshman forward Braxton Key declared for the NBA Draft. Because Key is not hiring an agent, he can still decide to return to school by May 24.
This season, Key averaged 12.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He shot 43 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range.
Here is Key's statement from Twitter.
We can't be certain what Key has in mind, but we're going to predict he returns to school. An All-SEC Freshman selection, he has tremendous potential but could still use more seasoning at the collegiate level.
If Key returns to school, watch out for Alabama basketball in 2017-18. Head coach Avery Johnson has a top-five class coming in, including five-star point guard Collin Sexton.
Tuscaloosa might not be solely a football town soon.
