Alabama football has lost two running backs to the NCAA transfer portal this week.
Edwards was a heavily sought-after recruit during the 2020 cycle. He held offers from over 15 programs, but wound up choosing the the Crimson Tide. He didn’t play a single snap this past season.
Both Edwards and Robinson would’ve had a tough time getting much playing time at Alabama in coming years, despite losing Najee Harris to the NFL this off-season. Brian Robinson Jr. and Trey Sanders are expected to carry the workload when the 2021 season commences.
Have learned that Alabama running back Kyle Edwards has entered the transfer portal. Louisiana native who was part of the Crimson Tide’s 2020 recruiting class.

As the Crimson Tide get sorted out at running back this off-season, the real question is at quarterback (though it’s not much of a question at this point).
The prospect out of Southern California is expected to be the next major star quarterback for Alabama football. He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, thanks to his elite accuracy and pocket presence. He draws comparisons to former Crimson Tide great Tua Tagovailoa.
If Young can be just a shade of Tagovailoa, Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide will be in good shape.
