Three-star running back Kyle Edwards has the size and skills to be a very talented college running back. After weighing numerous offers, he has decided on where he'll play in college.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Edwards announced that he would be committing to the University of Alabama. His visits this year have been to Alabama and Notre Dame.
Respect my decision #RTR
247Sports rates Edwards as the No. 346 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 24 running back in the nation, and the No. 16 recruit from the state of Louisiana.
As a junior at Destrehan High School, Edwards rushed for 708 yards and eight touchdowns on 112 carries. He also added another 12 receptions for 208 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
With the addition of Edwards, Alabama now has 23 commitments in the Class of 2020. Only Michigan, Minnesota and Kansas have more.
But with only a few more scholarships remaining for their 2020 recruiting class, it seems unlikely that Alabama will be able to claim the top ranking from Clemson. But they seem firmly in the driver's seat to have the best class in the SEC.
247Sports currently ranks the class No. 2 in the nation and No. 2 in their conference.
Another day, another recruiting victory for Nick Saban and his Alabama Crimson Tide.
