Alabama's football program has run into some off-the-field trouble over the past couple of days.
Saturday morning, Crimson Tide senior safety Geno Smith was arrested and charged with a DUI by the Tuscaloosa Police Department. He later apologized to the fans on Twitter. Sunday morning, defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor was dismissed from the program following his second domestic violence arrest.
Alabama running back Kenyan Drake has sent out an optimistic tweet in the wake of the incidents. "Mistakes won't define this team," he says.
Alabama is likely to start the 2015 ranked in the top five. The Crimson Tide open their campaign Sept. 5 against Wisconsin.
