On Tuesday, Nick Saban announced that Alabama is suspending Najee Harris and Brian Robinson Jr. for the first half of their season opener. It didn't take long for his players to share their reaction to the news.

Alabama should manage to get past Duke without two of its running backs on Saturday. Nonetheless, the coaching staff can't be thrilled about having to suspend players right before their Week 1 matchup.

The Crimson Tide suspended Harris and Robinson for missing a team function. This leaves the team without its top two running backs for the opening half of action.

Robinson had an interesting response to his suspension, tweeting "One mistake doesn't define you, how you respond to it shows your true character."

Check it out:

Last season, Robinson had 63 carries for 272 yards and two touchdowns. The reason he didn't see more touches was because of Josh Jacobs, who became a first-round pick.

Robinson will get the chance to redeem himself as soon as the coaching staff allows him to play.

Even though he'll only get to play in the second half, Robinson has to make the most of that opportunity.

Kickoff for the Alabama-Duke game is at 3:30 p.m. ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
