We're just weeks away from the college football season. Now, we know more about the broadcast for Alabama vs. Louisville.
The defending national champion Crimson Tide enter the year as the top team in the country. Louisville is in a bit of a transitional period.
Former Heisman winner Lamar Jackson left for the NFL after a pair of stellar seasons as starting quarterback for the Cardinals. He is now a Baltimore Raven.
Alabama and Louisville are set to kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET on September 1. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
ESPN has announced that Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Maria Taylor will be on the call for Alabama vs. Louisville.
From ESPN's release:
Lead analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who was recognized as sports most outstanding analyst in the offseason, and reporter Maria Taylor will begin the 2018 season campaign by working three games in five days, while lead play-by-play commentator Chris Fowler will call two games with his weekly prime-time commentator tandem in the midst of his comprehensive US Open schedule.
Fowler, Herbstreit and Taylor will be in Orlando for the 2018 Camping World Kickoff as the defending College Football Playoff National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Louisville Cardinals in the season premiere of ABC’s Saturday Night Football (8 p.m.).
It will be a busy Labor Day weekend for the trio. Two days after the game in Orlando, they will call the ACC battle between Florida State and Virginia Tech on Sept. 3 in Tallahassee.
