When Alabama and Auburn meet for their annual Iron Bowl clash this Saturday, both teams will have something at stake.

Alabama needs to win to finish 11-1 and keep alive their chances for a College Football Playoff berth. More importantly, they need to win with some style, and backup quarterback Mac Jones must prove he's a capable replacement for the injured Tua Tagovailoa.

As for Auburn, a win would simultaneously ruin Alabama's season and keep the Tigers' hopes of a 10-win campaign alive, depending on whether or not they win their bowl game.

Each week, Associated Press national college football writer Ralph Russo makes his picks for all the big games. Here's what he has to Alabama-Auburn.

All eyes on Mac Jones and how he does filling in for Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback for the Tide ... ALABAMA 28-17.

You can view the rest of Russo's Rivalry Week picks here.

The Crimson Tide and Tigers will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on CBS. Alabama is a 3 1/2-point favorite over Auburn, but AU has won two of the last three matchups on "The Plains."
