Moments ago, the Associated Press released the Week 10 AP Poll Top 25. Once again, we’re coming off of a Saturday that featured some big losses toward the top of the poll.
It wasn’t a loss that changed the top spot, however. After a tough win over Auburn, the LSU Tigers have jumped Alabama for the No. 1 spot.
Elsewhere, we saw some major programs tumble. Oklahoma entered the week as a locked in Big 12 favorite and one of the teams projected to push for the College Football Playoff. The Sooners are probably still the odds-on favorite to win the conference, but the CFP chances took a major hit.
OU needed a late comeback to keep things respectable against Kansas State in Manhattan. Bill Snyder may be retired, but the Wildcats are always a tough team to travel to, and that continued yesterday, with a 48-41 win that looked like it was going to be a blowout for much of the game.
Later in the day, Notre Dame, which entered as a one-point road favorite, lost to Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines picked up their second win over a Top 10 team under Jim Harbaugh.
This is your updated AP Top 25 after Week 9:
- Ohio State
- Penn State
- Notre Dame
- Appalachian State
- Boise State
- Kansas State
- Wake Forest
- San Diego State
