A Tuscaloosa bar owner thinks she knows how Alabama defensive lineman Raekwon Davis got shot.
Saturday night, Alabama defensive lineman Raekwon Davis, according to police, was shot in the leg outside of a bar in Tuscaloosa. A bar owner in the area believes the injury might have been self-inflicted.
Dionne Murrell, who owns Bar 17, told ABC 33/40 that there's a "rumor" going around that Davis shot himself. She noted that she had 18 security guards in her bar because of the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight and that it couldn't have happened in her establishment.
She noted that Davis reportedly didn't cooperate with police either.
"That's the rumor going around that he shot himself. That he was shooting in the air and he shot himself," Bar 17's owner told ABC 33/40 News.
According to Murrell, police have not contacted her about the investigation.
"It didn't happen here. If it happened here I think there should be a trail of blood somewhere. EMS should've been called, or I should've been notified," she added.
It's unclear whether Davis will play this weekend against Florida State. Luckily, his injuries weren't very serious.
