ESPN has released video of the altercation between Bruce Pearl and an Alabama strength coach on Friday.
Friday, following Alabama's upset win over Auburn, Tigers head coach Bruce Pearl "got into it" a bit with a Crimson Tide strength coach in the handshake line. ESPN's broadcast didn't catch the altercation, but another camera in the arena seems to have.
A few minutes ago, ESPN released video of the altercation. Essentially, it looks like Pearl and Alabama strength coach Lou DeNeen bumped shoulders. Judging by Pearl's response, he likely thought the DeNeen didn't move on purpose.
Laura Rutledge narrated the video. Here's what she is reporting:
"This is what happened postgame after Alabama beat Auburn. You see Bruce Pearl coming along and then Alabama's strength coach Lou DeNeen is standing there. There seems to be a situation where they bump into each other - Bruce Pearl not happy about it. Pearl felt as if he was standing there on purpose. Alabama says they have no comment on this."
Here's the video. Marq Burnett of SEC Country also sums up the altercation pretty succinctly.
Unless the two teams somehow meet in the NCAA Tournament, they won't see each other again this season. That might be a good thing at this point.
