In the aftermath of LSU’s 46-41 win at Alabama on Saturday, an LSU player shared a live video of head coach Ed Orgeron’s locker room address to his team.
In the video, Orgeron can be heard saying the Tigers will ” beat their [Alabama’s] a** in recruiting, we’re going to beat their a** every time they see us.” Orgeron finished with aRoll Tide, what? F**k you,”
Naturally, Orgeron wasn’t happy that the video surfaced, as he made clear when he spoke to the media today.
“Wish that wouldn’t happen,” Orgeron said Monday, via AL.com. “That shouldn’t happen. I addressed the player that did it. He felt bad about it. They’re so used to having those phones on them all the time. We have pregame meal and I say, ‘Can you turn your phones off just a little bit so we can say the prayer?’ And we say the prayer and boom, they’re back on their phones.
“I think that’s just the product of today. Everybody carries their phone on them all the time. I don’t think it was done with malintent or nothing like that. I addressed it with the young man and I don’t think it’s gonna happen again.”
Orgeron is right about one thing. The video should not have been posted. There are some things that absolutely should stay within the privacy of the locker room.
However, NSFW-language aside, this clip only further solidifies Orgeron as a beloved figure in the state of Louisiana. T-shirts emblazoned with “Roll Tide, what? F**k you,” are already being sold.

If Orgeron goes on to lead the Tigers to a national title, he officially enters deity-like status on the Bayou.
