LSU and Alabama are gearing up for college football’s biggest game of the regular season this Saturday. The winner will stay in the playoff hunt while the loser has some work to do.
With just two days before the game, analysts are starting to make their predictions. Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd is the latest to offer his thoughts on the highly anticipated contest.
Unlike most, Cowherd thinks this game is an easy pick.
“Alabama is going to win it, and they’re going to win it decisively,” Cowherd said during his show on Thursday. “Because this series is about Nick Saban … he’s 10-and-3 in this series when he’s coaching Bama … He’s gonna roll on Saturday.”
Cowherd’s not wrong. Saban’s success against LSU – and the rest of the SEC for that matter – has been astounding. And if past history plays any part in Saturday’s contest, there’s a good chance Saban and the Tide continue their streak over LSU.
The Herd’s host continued his praise of Saban and the Tide on Thursday.
“This is not LSU-Bama. This is Nick Saban’s series,” Cowherd said. “He owns it. He’s defined it. There is no rivalry. Take his side. I trust Bama and their defense and their coaching way more than LSU. I’ll take Bama big.”
