Joe Burrow is seemingly the best player of this year’s draft class. But Tua Tagovailoa isn’t that far behind the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner.
Both players had impressive collegiate careers. Tua shined from the start, leading the Crimson Tide to a come-from-behind victory over Georgia in the 2018 National Championship. But injuries over the past two years plagued what’s been a nearly flawless Alabama career.
Burrow, on the other hand, had to work his way to the top. The 6-foot-5 passer had a historic 2019 season, putting up record-breaking numbers and leading the Tigers to the national championship. There’s a reason he’s expected to be the first overall pick.
But there’s still many who believe Tua’s the more talented QB prospect of the two. Colin Cowherd is one of those people. Cowherd thinks Tua is going to have a better NFL career than Burrow due to the teams both prospects are likely heading to.
“Tua is going to have a better career than Joe Burrow,” Cowherd said during his show on Tuesday. “Why? Because of where he lands. … Joe Burrow, this is serious. It’s time to make a tough decision. I think he should pull an Elway. I think he should pull an Eli.”
Check out Cowherd’s full thoughts and suggestion for Burrow in the video below:

Does Cowherd make a good point? Burrow could be in trouble if he heads to Cincinnati.
