Four-star linebacker Demouy Kennedy is a first-rate pass rusher and one of the top defenders in the country. With just about every SEC school vying for the Alabama-based linebacker’s signature, Kennedy has made his commitment decision.
On Sunday morning, Kennedy announced that he would be committing to the Alabama Crimson Tide and closing his recruitment. His announcement included a shoutout to Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding and outside linebackers coach Sal Sunseri.
100% committed!!! my recruitment is closed!!!! I just wanna thank everyone for their support and love and without my mom & coaches I wouldn’t be where I am now and I just wanna thank y’all for everything y’all do
247Sports rates Kennedy as the No. 96 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 6 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 2 prospect from the state of Alabama.
Kennedy recorded 100 tackles, 12 sacks and two pick sixes for Theodore High School last season.

The addition of Kennedy gives Alabama 19 committed recruits to the Class of 2020, the most in the nation.
He also gives Alabama seven of the top 12 in-state recruits – completely lapping arch-rival Auburn.
247Sports currently ranks Alabama as the No. 2 recruiting class in the country – but they still trail College Football Playoff rival Clemson.
