Desmond Howard Thinks Alabama Is "Vulnerable" Today Against Mississippi State

Desmond Howard thinks that Alabama could be in trouble today.

Alabama has looked unbeatable this season, per usual, but one College GameDay analyst thinks it's possible that changes on Saturday afternoon. Desmond Howard thinks the Crimson Tide looks "vulnerable" heading into its matchup with Mississippi State.

Howard thinks that the combination of injuries and MSU quarterback Nick Fitzgerald's ability to run the ball could spell doom for the undefeated Crimson Tide. Howard was on SportsCenter on Saturday morning, and Brad Crawford of 247 Sports transcribed what he had to say.

"Listen, hold onto your chairs, I know people can’t fathom the idea of Alabama losing a game, but I think Alabama just might be vulnerable today," Howard said on SportsCenter. "When you look at the Tide, it’s all about the defense. They’re built on defense. And now, injuries are starting to add up on that side of the ball. They’re going to miss Shaun Dion Hamilton. He can make up for others’ mistakes. And Minkah Fitzpatrick, he’s a game-item decision.

"You’re going up against this Mississippi State offense with Nick Fitzgerald, a big quarterback who loves to run. Alabama just might be vulnerable today."

An Alabama loss would send shockwaves through college football. It would also completely reshape the College Football Playoff race.
