Alabama absolutely steamrolled Ole Miss in a 59-31 victory on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide offense simply couldn't be stopped thanks to a ridiculously great performance from 'Bama receiver DeVonta Smith.

The Rebels had no answer for Smith who used his speed to break away from defenders all game long. The Alabama receiver finished the game with 11 receptions for 274 yards and five touchdowns. No, these aren't video game numbers. Smith did this versus an SEC defense.

Simply an incredible performance.

Turns out, Smith's performance will be placed in the record books. His five receiving touchdowns and 274 yards are both Alabama football records. Pretty remarkable considering the receivers who've played for the Crimson Tide over the years.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa played a big role in helping Smith put up those historic numbers. The Alabama QB threw with pinpoint accuracy on Saturday afternoon. Tagovailoa also had a big game, finishing with 418 passing yards and six touchdowns.

Does Alabama field the best offense in the nation? Or, an even better question — can any defense stop the Crimson Tide's offensive attack?

Alabama will certainly be tested this season. The Crimson Tide have games against LSU and Auburn later in the season. Both teams have elite defenses which could test Alabama's offense.

But for now, the Crimson Tide remain one of the most dangerous teams in the nation.
