While recruits from the 2020 class are announcing their commitment, the top prospects from the 2021 class are trimming down their list. Donovan Jackson, a four-star recruit from Texas, is the latest to announce which schools he’ll consider.
Jackson is the No. 7 offensive tackle and No. 34 overall recruit from his class, per 247Sports. He received 33 offers from programs around the country, but only 12 of them remain in the hunt.
“At this time I’m ready to take the next step in my recruitment and focus on these 12 schools,” Jackson said on Twitter.
The 12 programs remaining on his list are Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Texas.
Per the 247Sports crystal ball, analysts believe the current favorites for Jackson are the Aggies, Buckeyes, and Crimson Tide.

This is a star-studded list for Jackson as he now leaves himself ample time to make his decision.
Jackson would be a huge addition to any school’s recruiting class. His size should allow him to compete against all of the top teams in the country, whether that means he’s in the SEC or Big Ten.
We’ll continue to provide updates on Jackson’s recruitment as he nears closer to his commitment.
