Alabama and LSU have had a ton of incredible football games over the past few years. But few had as much hype before the season even started as the 2020 Alabama-LSU game has.
While the big game at Tiger Stadium won’t happen until November 7, Alabama has emerged as the early favorite. According to BetOnline.ag, the Crimson Tide will be three-point favorites on the road. Considering that LSU’s other home opponents are UTSA, Texas, Ole Miss, Nicholls, Mississippi State and South Carolina, it’s likely to be the only game in 2020 where the Tigers will be home underdogs.
Last year Alabama proved to be one of the few teams that could take LSU all the way down to the wire. The 41 points Alabama managed to score on the Tigers were the most by any LSU opponent in 2019.
But Joe Burrow outdueled Tua Tagovailoa en route to the 46-41 win that preceded wins in the SEC West, SEC title game, Peach Bowl and ultimately the national title.
However, with Burrow and many other LSU stars now gone, LSU will have a very different look in 2020.

Even in the confines of their own home, the Tigers will have their work cut out for them against a typically-loaded Alabama squad. The Crimson Tide are bringing in yet another elite recruiting class, though they will have to decide on a new starting quarterback.
As for LSU quarterback Myles Brennan, he’s very talented, but few quarterbacks win their first meeting against a Nick Saban defense.
