Friday afternoon, five-star running back recruit Damien Harris, who was reportedly leaning towards Kentucky, shocked Wildcats fans when he chose to play for Alabama instead. It was a move that most people from the state don’t seem to get. But there’s one who understands.
Former Tide star running back Shaun Alexander, who later starred for the Seattle Seahawks and won an NFL MVP award, is also from the state of Kentucky. He reached out to Harris after the decision and offered some support.

When Alexander graduated from Alabama, he was the school’s all-time leading rusher. If Harris even comes close to matching Alexander’s accomplishments, he’ll have had himself a career.
