From one national champion QB to two others.
Alabama won its fifth national title in the last nine seasons last night, thanks in large part to the heroics of freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Tagovailoa came off the bench to start the second half, replacing starter Jalen Hurts. The southpaw threw for three touchdown passes, including the game-winner in overtime.
Former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker, who helped lead the Tide to the 1992 national title, tweeted out a very cool message to both quarterbacks after the game.
You can't deny how classy Hurts was after the game, and it is clear he and Tagovailoa have a strong relationship.
Also, it takes absolute stones to step in cold and do what Tagovailoa did last night.
