Former Alabama Star Sends Message To Jalen Hurts Before Game vs. LSU
The Oklahoma Sooners are going to have a lot of Alabama fans rooting for them today. And not just because they're going up against bitter rival LSU in the Peach Bowl.
Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts is leading the Sooners into their game today, and some of his ex-teammates are reaching out to show their support.
Among them is former Crimson Tide running back Damien Harris, who is now with the New England Patriots. Harris took to Twitter this afternoon to make it clear in no uncertain terms that he's rooting for Hurts and the Sooners.
Y’all already know who i’m rockin with today! Acts 20:24- Finish the race my brother. You the Chosen 1! #BoomerSooner @JalenHurts
Hurts and Harris played three seasons together at Alabama from 2016 to 2018. During that time they won a national title and two SEC titles.
But Hurts opted to leave Alabama as a grad transfer after losing his starting job in 2018. He quickly earned the job at Oklahoma and proceeded to put up some of his best numbers ever.
To date, Hurts has completed 72-percent of his passes for 3,634 yards and 32 touchdowns in 13 games for the Sooners. He led Oklahoma to a Big 12 title and was a Heisman Trophy runner-up to Joe Burrow.
Will Jalen Hurts fulfill Alabama fans' wishes and upset the LSU Tigers today?
