If you think you know more than the experts regarding SEC football and you want to prove it, you've now got your chance. Joe Fortenbaugh over at the National Football Post published the opening numbers on win totals for all 14 SEC teams for the gaming company CG Technology, which operates Las Vegas sports books at a number of major casinos. As you'd guess, Alabama is the top dog, coming in at an over/under of 10.5 wins.
As Fortenbaugh mentions, you can only wager up to $1,000 on these win totals. For those wondering, the numbers below are based on a 12-game regular season schedule and do not include any conferences championship games or postseason bowls.
Remember, these are just the opening win totals, so they're subject to change a bit before the season actually starts.
It's also important to remember that not all teams have the same difficulty level in non-conference games. LSU opens the season with Wisconsin, a tough Big Ten squad. Florida, as always, will have Florida State to end the season. Both Georgia and South Carolina will play Clemson.
