Jalen Hurts didn't start for Alabama, but he's making his presence known against USC Saturday night.
Blake Barnett started at quarterback for Alabama on Saturday night, but it's true freshman Jalen Hurts who led the team to its first score. Hurts, who wasn't even supposed to be playing per Nick Saban's statement earlier this week, found ArDarius Stewart for a 39-yard score in the second quarter. Hurts had some serious zip on the ball.
Saban had mentioned earlier in the week that it would be Barnett and Cooper Bateman who saw action in the contest. So much for that.
Alabama now leads 7-3. It's shaping up to be a great one.
