It isn't every day that you see an Alabama star working out with an Auburn player. However, a couple of guys that share a Texas football bond crossed that bridge. Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts and Auburn running back Kam Martin worked out today.

Hurts hails from Channelview, Texas. Martin lives in Port Arthur, about an hour away. Both are outside of Houston.

Today, Martin posted a picture with Hurts, after the two got a workout in. We're sure Alabama and Auburn fans have some interesting thoughts about it.

Both Jalen Hurts and Kam Martin are battling for starting jobs this year.

Hurts has been the starting quarterback at Alabama since Week 2 of his freshman season. He has lost just two games in that time, one to Martin's Tigers last year.

Of course, it was Tua Tagovailoa, and not Hurts, who finished the biggest Alabama win in that stretch: last year's national title game. Tagovailoa has limited reps under his belt, but looked incredibly impressive in leading 'Bama back against Georgia for the title.

If he loses the job, Hurts may very well transfer away from Alabama. Some responses to the tweet are having fun with the possibility of him crossing Iron Bowl battle lines, but that seems extremely unlikely.

Martin will be in the running to take over for Kerryon Johnson, now with the Detroit Lions. He ran for 429 yards last season, on an impressive 6.3 yards per carry.

For his career, he has 749 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Martin was the second leading rusher for the Tigers in 2017.

The 2018 edition of the Iron Bowl will take place on November 24 in Tuscaloosa. Assuming everyone stays put, Hurts and the Tide will be seeking revenge against Martin and the Tigers at home.
