4-Star DE Jarez Parks Announces Commitment To Alabama, Will Reportedly Grayshirt

Alabama may be out of scholarship room for four-star defensive end Jarez Parks, but it appears that he'll be heading to the Crimson Tide anyway.

Earlier today, Parks tearfully announced a delay in his commitment. According to a report by SEC Country, he was expected to commit to Alabama, but the Crimson Tide did not have enough scholarships for him.

Parks is the No. 7 weakside defensive end in the country, and has offers from pretty much every college football power out there. His other finalists heading into the day were Auburn, Florida, and Florida State. Still, he announced that he'll be taking his talents to Alabama, with a pretty crazy commitment video shot by Bleacher Report in Paris at the Eiffel Tower.

Rather than scrap this commitment video and head to the Tigers, Gators, or Seminoles, he will reportedly take a grayshirt and enroll at Alabama in January.

One would think that most blue chip players would take their pick of programs like Auburn, Florida, Florida State, or the numerous others that have offered Parks, but on National Signing Day, Alabama is just a machine.

The Crimson Tide already have the No. 1 class in the country for 2017, as of now. Jarez Parks could change his mind in the coming weeks, as he likely won't be signing anything binding as he won't be enrolled until January, but this is pretty crazy.
