A four-star safety recruit took to Twitter for a message on his recruitment.

Unfortunately for Alabama fans everywhere, the announcement won't make them happy. Four-star safety Javier Morton revealed his decision to walk away from his commitment to the Tide.

Morton initially committed to Nick Saban and company nearly two years ago.

However, over the past few months, Morton has taken several visits to Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida and Tennessee.

In the wake of those meetings, Morton decided now was the right time to re-open his recruitment.

"I am decommitted from The University Of Alabama... Respect my decision," Morton said on Twitter.

Morton is the No. 20 safety recruit in the country and the No. 22 player from the state of Georgia.

The top recruit holds 33 offers and the Yellow Jackets could be the team to land him. New head coach Geoff Collins has been hot on the recruiting trail and seems to be in the market for a star safety.
