J.T. Tuimoloau, a five-star defensive lineman out of Sammamish, Wash., is one of the most sought-after recruits in the entire country.
The Eastside Catholic High School star is ranked No. 3 in 247Sports' composite rankings, and No. 1 overall by the site itself. He is the top-rated uncommitted recruit in the country, and as you may assume, has most of the major powers in the country after him.
It looks like a decision could be coming from him soon. He's spent most of his month taking trips across the country for official visits.
In-state power Washington opened his month of travel, with an official visit on June 4. That was followed by USC, Ohio State, and most recently, Oregon. On Friday, he takes his fifth-and-final official visit, down to check out Alabama football.
This is Tuimoloau's second trip down to Tuscaloosa. He made an unofficial trip to see what Nick Saban's program has to offer three years ago.
J.T. Tuimoloau has taken a very patient approach to his recruitment, waiting out (hopefully) the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic to be able to see potential schools in person. That was probably a wise approach. While coaches and staffs have worked hard to try and recreate the visit experience via Zoom, it is hard to really get a feel for a place where an athlete will live for most of the next three or four years, and will shape his football future.
Six predictions for where the top-remaining 2021 recruit all have him choosing Ohio State over at 247's crystal ball. This one still feels pretty up in the air though, and you can never count out Nick Saban when he has a chance to close.
