Former USC head coach and current Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin says an old colleague contacted him at halftime of the Tide's Cotton Bowl win over Michigan State.
Steve Sarkisian, who coached with Kiffin as a Trojans assistant under Pete Carroll and then succeeded him as the head coach of the program in 2013, reached out to the 'Bama play caller with some suggestions at intermission on New Year's Eve.
Sarkisian, of course, is trying to get back into coaching after losing his position at USC earlier this season due to issues with alcohol. The Crimson Tide scored 28 points in the second half against the Spartans. Maybe Sark lent a helping hand?
