Mario Williams – one of the elite receivers in the 2021 class – has narrowed down his list of schools he’s considering to just five.
The Florida native currently ranks as the No. 40 overall prospect and fourth-highest rated receiver in the 2021 cycle, according to 247Sports. Williams is hearing from nearly every prominent program in the country, but just five have made the cut for his upcoming commitment.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound speedster is now only considering Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma for his recruitment. Williams is certainly likely to commit to an SEC school, but Lincoln Riley and the Sooners remain a legitimate threat to land the talented pass catcher.
The highly-rated four-star prospect made his top-five schools announcement via Twitter on Saturday afternoon. Check out Williams’ top-five schools announcement below:

Dan Mullen and the Gators are going to try and do everything they can to keep Williams in-state. It would be a massive loss for Florida if the 4-star receiver heads elsewhere.
There’s a very strong chance Williams stays in the SEC, but Oklahoma has a track-record of pulling elite prospects out of SEC-country. Can Riley and the Sooners land another SEC-area prospect?
Williams’ big-time recruitment looks like it’s just getting started.
