Former Alabama star RB Mark Ingram thinks QB Tua Tagovailoa is a special talent.
Tagovailoa had a historic career for the Crimson Tide, losing just two games over three seasons as the starter. The elite prospect is expected to be a top-five pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, which would land him with the Miami Dolphins.
Many draft experts are still skeptical about the former Alabama QB due to his injury history, though. But Ingram isn’t worried about Tagovailoa’s health.
In fact, the former Alabama RB thinks Tagovailoa’s elite skill-set is enough to overlook health concerns. Ingram joined First Take on Thursday morning and made a big prediction for Tagovailoa:
“Obviously injuries and availability is a huge part of being a pro and being in the NFL. I can understand durability concerns, but I think every player has durability concerns, man,” Ingram said, via 247Sports. “I just think the type of person he is, his accuracy, his accolades . . . I just think he has great potential, you know what I mean, to be a star in this league. And I think he will be a star in this league.”
Ingram is one of many who believe Tagovailoa has a great career ahead of him.
If the former Alabama QB remains healthy, there’s a good chance he becomes one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for years to come.
Tune into the NFL Draft on April 23 to find out which team Tagovailoa will be playing for in 2020.
