The Tua Tagovailoa-Joe Burrow debate is heating up. NFL Draft expert Todd McShay is the latest to make his pick for who he believes is the better quarterback prospect.
Burrow and Tagovailoa play with different styles, but both are elite. LSU’s Burrow just put together one of the most impressive individual quarterback seasons in college football history en route to a Heisman trophy and National Championship victory. But to be fair, the 6-foot-4 passer had just one elite season.
Tagovailoa, on the other hand, has a much more complete body of collegiate work. Not to mention, he would’ve likely been the first overall draft pick had he not suffered a season-ending injury in 2019.
For McShay, the debate between Tagovailoa and Burrow is an easy one. The NFL Draft expert would take Tagovailoa over Burrow, as long as the former Alabama quarterback can remain healthy. Here’s what McShay had to say regarding Tagovailoa and Burrow:
If promised 10 years of health for both; I’m taking Tua over Burrow. pic.twitter.com/Vf80FLJmbn

Tagovailoa is as elite a quarterback prospect as they come. The former Alabama passer had a magnificent collegiate career in Tuscaloosa.
But passing on Burrow would be extremely tough considering the season he just put together in Baton Rouge. The Bengals are still likely to select the 2019-20 Heisman winner with their first overall pick.
The first round of the NFL Draft gets going on April 23rd in Las Vegas.
